Protein Fix

Overview

Tucked away at 734-740 173rd St, Hammond, IN 46324, United States, there’s a spot that locals can’t stop talking about-Protein Fix. Walking in, you immediately catch that fresh, energizing vibe that tells you this isn’t your average diner. The name might suggest it’s just for gym-goers or athletes, but after a few visits, you realize it’s a go-to spot for anyone who enjoys great food made with real ingredients and a creative twist.

The first time I stopped by was after a morning workout, and I was craving something that wasn’t just filling but nourishing. I ordered their grilled chicken bowl with quinoa and roasted veggies, and I could tell right away they put effort into balancing flavor with nutrition. Each bite was warm, seasoned perfectly, and portioned generously-something many health-focused restaurants often miss. Talking with one of the staff members, I learned that they source many of their ingredients locally, ensuring freshness while supporting nearby farmers. It’s a simple approach, but one that truly sets them apart in a world full of quick, processed meals.

Their menu feels like a carefully designed mix of comfort and clean eating. You’ll find lean proteins like salmon, chicken, and steak, but also wraps, smoothies, and breakfast options that make healthy eating feel indulgent. One regular I met there swore by their turkey burger, saying it’s the perfect mix of juicy and guilt-free. And after trying it myself, I have to agree-the flavor is on point, and the texture doesn’t leave you missing a traditional beef burger at all. Plus, their smoothie bar is a hidden gem. The peanut butter protein shake tastes like dessert, but it’s packed with enough nutrients to power you through the day.

What I really appreciate is how this place caters to all kinds of diners. You’ll see families grabbing lunch, athletes refueling after training, and even professionals stopping by between meetings. The atmosphere is casual and friendly-clean interiors, soft music, and the kind of energy that makes you want to linger a little longer. The service is fast, but the food never feels rushed. You can tell the team behind the counter takes pride in what they do.

According to data from the National Restaurant Association, more than 70% of consumers now look for healthier menu options when dining out, and Protein Fix is clearly tuned into that trend. They’ve built their identity around providing meals that make you feel good-without sacrificing taste. Nutrition experts like Dr. Mark Hyman often talk about the importance of real food over processed ingredients, and this place embodies that philosophy in every dish they serve. You can taste the freshness, and that makes all the difference.

Even when I chatted with a few other customers, their reviews echoed the same sentiment: “It’s not just about the protein-it’s about the balance.” That comment stuck with me because it sums up the restaurant perfectly. Whether you’re counting macros, eating clean, or just trying to find something better than fast food, you’ll find your rhythm here. Their transparent approach to ingredients builds trust, and the consistently high-quality dishes show real expertise behind the scenes.

If you’re nearby or passing through Hammond, it’s definitely worth stopping at 734-740 173rd St to experience what they’re all about. From the fresh menu to the community vibe, it’s the kind of spot that makes you rethink what a healthy meal can taste like. Protein Fix doesn’t just serve food-it serves motivation on a plate, one flavorful, protein-packed bite at a time.

Exceptiona! From delicious shakes to wholesome snacks, their offerings are a game-changer for anyone seeking a protein boost. Impeccable service and a diverse menu make them a go-to choice for fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious individuals. A must-try in the neighborhood. I love their teas during this chilly weather.

What an awesome place, every shake sounds like it would be delicious I can't wait to try them all. Their location is kind of obscure but very convenient it is right off of 173rd just west of Calumet. Directly across the street from Terry's aquarium and Walgreens. All of their shakes have natural ingredients and natural sweeteners and they use Herbalife protein powders and vitamin supplements. Would definitely recommend

The protein bowls were great but a little pricey. The service was super friendly. Still 5 stars because if I was gonna give them less stars for the pricing, it would be like 4.5 at the lowest.

The valentine's menu is great. The chocolate covered strawberry shake is probably one of the best ones I've ever had!
